Maisha Thompson of The New York Steppers presents George Gonzalez of Grant Houses over 20 bags of winter clothes and toys received from the generous efforts of the NY Steppin’ dance community at our annual Holiday Party for charity, Londel’s Restaurant.
In partnership with NYCHA, Cornerstone’s community programs offer youth, adults, and seniors programming in mentoring, tutoring, and recreational activities for youth, workplace development, computer classes, and GED prep, and other programs, to advance a families’ economic opportunity and livelihood.
The New York Steppers partnered for its 2nd year with University Settlement, Ingersoll Community Center, Brooklyn Branch for an Annual Christmas Toy Drive. Toys donated by the New York Steppers community were presented to the kids at the center by Yvette White of the New York Steppers.
University Settlement is one of New York’s most dynamic social service institutions with deep roots on the Lower East Side. Each year University Settlement’s diverse programs help over 25,000 low-income and at-risk people build better lives for themselves and their families.
Generous contributions of The New York Steppers community in partnership with the Harlem A-Loft Hotel helped provide a stack of toys to the kids of University Settlement, Ingersoll Community Center, Brooklyn. The toys were delivered by Devon Winfield and Yvette White of The New York Steppers.
